Hello and welcome to the Ackworth Juniors Under 11's section of the Website. Here you can find the 09/10 seasons squad as well as match reports and photographs of the team players.
We compete in the Charles Rice Junior Football League - our home games take place at Low Ackworth playing fields in Ackworth. We also train here every Tuesday from 6.15pm for one hour except during the Winter months when we move to the all-weather ground at Hemsworth High School. New players are required for the forth-coming season and we would welcome along anybody interested in playing for us. Thank you.
Would moving kids' football to a summer game help improve the development of young footballers?
Yes - better pitches mean a better chance to develop technique/skills
No - wouldn't make any real difference to development
