Everyone at the club would like to take this opportunity to wish these Juniors all the very best luck for the future after their final game together.

Our Under 17’s Sunday side, coached by Peter O’Brien and Martin Moody, have played their final competitive match and despite the result, they showed the same great camaraderie which has epitomised this squad for many years at the final whistle.

A wonderful group, who always played with pride and a smile, we wish to acknowledge our appreciation to Peter and Martin for their dedication and time and to all involved over the years, as we always say the role is far more than a Sunday one.

Peter has coached at the club for well over a decade and was joined by Martin when the other village club (Ackworth Allstars) at their respective age group decide to join forces.

Success isn’t always reflected through silverware, but Peter highlighted the joining-up with Martin and bringing the two teams together as a significant highlight from his time coaching.

Peter explained “Martin and I have been blessed with a great set of lads who always played in the right spirit.”

A fantastic testimony to this team, lots and lots of happy memories created on and off the pitch. Well done to you all.
